Our Process of Becoming a Client

Our process begins with a winning team, which includes our law firm, a financial planner, tax advisor, and insurance advisor. The Kaiser Law Firm, P.C. is here to fulfill your legal needs in the areas of estate planning, asset protection, and business planning and offers this overview of our process so you know how to become a client and what to expect.

1. Fact-Finding

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You determine and express your planning goals and objectives.
  • The Kaiser Law Firm, P.C. reviews existing documents and gathers asset information.

More specifically, we will complete:

PRE-CONSULTATION

We work with your referring advisor, so we can understand your financial background, your situation, and needs. During this part of the planning process, you will complete our Life and Legacy Intake Form, provide us with basic contact information, and begin to identify and express your goals and concerns.

INITIAL CONSULTATION

We will discuss in detail your background, family and business goals and concerns, and any issues identified in the Life and Legacy Intake Form that require further consideration.

At the end of this meeting, a fee range will be quoted based on a preliminary plan design.

2. Plan Design

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You review, clarify, and revise team suggestions.
  • The Kaiser Law Firm, P.C. reviews available facts and your goals and determines if current and future needs are addressed.

Together we will conduct a:

DESIGN MEETING

During this meeting, your proposed plan design will be presented to you in plain English and with easy to understand outlines and diagrams. Together, we will work through the details of the proposed plan to create a customized strategy that meets your goals and objectives while addressing your concerns and anxieties.

3. Implementation

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • If necessary, you sign documents, update insurance, and re-title assets.
  • The Kaiser Law Firm, P.C. prepares documents and instructions on how to implement your plan.

This phase includes:

DELIVERY MEETING

We review the documents to ensure that you understand your plan and that it meets your goals and objectives. If you want us to do so, we will also educate your family members, executors, trustees, agents and beneficiaries about your plan, their roles in the plan, and why the plan is designed as it is. At this point, you will also sign the legal documents to implement the plan.

Note: We take confidentiality very seriously. Subject to certain limitations, nothing about your plan will be revealed unless you specifically authorize us to release it.

IMPLEMENTATION

Once your planning documents have been executed, we assist you with beneficiary designation changes, other funding issues and other matters required to implement your planning in order that it becomes effective and works as designed.

4. On-Going Care

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You commit to keeping your plan up-to-date.
